How can I order a service?

After completing the form, your nic-handle will be created. You'll also receive an email to the address you've provided in the form.

For how long can I order the service?

Some of the services may be ordered for several years. Our hosting services may be ordered for 3, 6 or 12 months. Dedicated server lease is possible for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. You may renew your server at any time.

Is a dedicated server a suitable product for me?

It primarily depends on your financial budget.

Usage: The advantage of a dedicated server is that you don't share it with other users and you are not restricted by transfer limits. You receive a configured server, and you may install your programs and applications.

Cost: It's more expensive than web hosting.

Management: You need to have some server management skills and knowledge in order to administer the dedicated server successfully.

How can I manage my web space?

You may check the quota of your website by using : http://www.yourdomain.com/quota.cgi

Is there a private or anonymous FTP?

Yes, there is. You may use FTP to upload your files. You may use also Anonymous FTP from where you may share your files for download.

Is there Real Media space? Can I have streaming on the OVH server?

You may use Real Audio Space where you may place REAL AUDIO and REAL VIDEO files and create your own streaming.

I have a domain and I'd like to transfer it to OVH. How can I do it?

Domain transfer results in a change of registrar. After paying for your order by credit card, cheque or bank transfer you decide to change your registrar to OVH. A message will be sent to the administrative contact. Remember to have a valid email address and quickly confirm the registrar change to NSI (Network Solutions: an organisation that distributes domain names among registrars), otherwise you'll have to renew your domain at your previous registrar.

The procedure is available for domains .com, .net, .info, .org and .biz registered at least 60 days ago.
To confirm the transfer of .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and .org to OVH, the procedure is sent to contacts visible in Whois database. Contacts may either confirm or reject the transfer. It is necessary to provide the Auth_info code as received from the previous registrar.

If one of the contacts confirms the transfer, it will be conducted within 5 days. If one of the contacts rejects the transfer, it is blocked. If all the contacts confirm the transfer, it is done automatically. In case of problems, transfers may be restarted as many times as necessary.

How do I manage my hosting and domain in OVH?

You may do it via the OVH Manager - our control panel. It's a tool designed by our technicians to manage hosting services, domains and payments in OVH.

Does OVH have a backup copy of my data?

Yes, we do. You always have access to your backup copy.

Can I create a database?

Yes, you can. All of our hosting packages are equipped with professional programs for managing SQL databases.

How can I renew my service?

In OVH we inform you about your service termination 60 days beforehand. The reminder email contains a link which takes you to a renewal page. Here you provide your domain and create an order. You may also do it in the "My services" section of the Manager.
